CSE Reader: Features

CSE Reader is a wide sofware program that inherits many of the features of CSE Standard and Full.

Synthetically, some of the main features of CSE are listed:

Filter to access cross-section archive
Addition of new cross-sections
  • Cross-sections: more than 18,000 cross-sections available, among which European (IPE, HEA, HEB, HEM, UPN, L, UPF, etc. etc.), American (W, M), English (UB, UC, ..), Indian, Russian, Japanese. See the page related to the cross-section coding.
    • Cross-section archive can be accessed using powerful selection filters.
    • New cross-section belonging to the following types can be added:
      • I and H rolled and welded.
      • T rolled and welded.
      • C rolled and welded.
      • Angles rolled and welded.
      • Cold formed C, L, Z, Hat.
      • Rectangular, square.
      • Circular (round and hollow).
      • Box, rolled and welded.
      • Double angles and channels.
  • Materials, there is an archive with the most frequently used, and the capability to add more.
  • Geometry of the nodes:
    • Easy input forms to define typical nodes.
    • Free meshing commands to define every geometry
  • Rigid offsets
  • End-releases, constraints, connection-codes
  • Import of complete FEM models from the formats Staad Pro®, Sap2000®, MIDAS®, Sargon®, SR4®
  • Equal nodes recognition
  • Help CHM and PDF guide
  • Coordinated multiple views
