At the moment the following joint types are available:

- Beam-Beam (B).
- Hinged Beam-Column (c o X).
- Moment Beam-Column (C).
- Horizontal Bracing (H).
- Vertical Bracing (V).
- Post-Beam (p or Y or P).
- Splice (S).
- Knees (K)
- Steps (s)

The joints are coded by **marks**, that follow the rules here summarized.

The **mark** is always composed by **three alphanumerical characters**.

The **first character** refers to the **typology** of the jopint: beam-beam, beam-column, et cetera.

**The second character** refers to the **connection system** used (fin-plate, end-plate, angles, welds, et cetera).

The **third character of the mark** is used to distinguish marks otherwise equal.

For instance, the following marks have the following meanings:

- CE1: moment beam-column a momento with stiffened end-plate (first type)
- Vh2: vertical bracing with bolted joint using web and flange plates, but no backing plates (second type)
- GE1: moment ground base joint with stiffened end plate.
