FAQ: Administration

  • How do I pay the Service?
    • You pay the service buying “tokens” from Castalia srl, at this link. Each time a service is provided, the count of your available tokens is decreased by the amount of tokens due for all the properly designed joints of the service just provided. If in a node a joint cannot be designed (does not pass all the checks, or it has geometrical issues), the cost of it is never counted.
  • How much does it cost CSE Reader?
    • It’s free.
  • Why CSE Reader is free?
    • Because on one side what is relevant is the analysis and the design, and therefore the Service. On the other hand we consider this also a way to let CSE, the program from which CSE Reader is derived, be known.
  • What happens if my credit gets null?
    • If summing up the cost of different design services the credit gets null, you will have to buy a re-charge of the desired amount. The joints whose design have been asked at null credit will not be processed.
  • Is the availability of the credit just bought immediate?
    • No, it requires that the order is processed, and that a database is upgraded. It can take from 1 hour or less (if urgent) or a day, depending on time and day. We work at Italian time.
  • May I ask the refund of residual credit?
    • Yes, but within 30 days from the relative buy. If you order 500 tokens and after 20 days you still have 400 (because 100 have been used) and you ask for the refund of the credit, you will get a credit-note of 4/5 of the price paid (and the money back, with bank cost yours). If no token has been used, you will get 100% of the price paid. After 30 days this will not be possible: the reason is that we would have to keep provisions to foresee possible change-of-minds, and from an administrative point of view this would be quite difficult. Instead, it is correct that the orders are proportional to the needs, with a right of afterthought in a reasonable amount of time. We suggest to order recharges proportional to the real needs.
  • But how can I know how many tokens I would need for a given work?
    • Before every request is sent you are always notified by the program about the maximum cost (in tokens) that that request might imply. Therefore you can ask for recharges exactly tuned on the needs you have.
  • If I ask for the design of many nodes, are there discounts of the costs?
    • Yes, and in this case, that normally happens in complete mode, you first agree a maximum price in case all the joints of the structure are correctly designed, or, more generally, a table of costs depending on the number of successfully designed joints or nodes. Up to 1,000 tokens the prices are those listed in this page.
    • The purchase of tokens is already keeping into account discounts depending on the amount of tokens ordered. Buying 1,000 tokens you pay a price per token equal to half the price you would pay buying 50 tokens. To have a better idea of the costs, have a look at this page.
  • Is it possible to ask for a recounting of the tokens used, if some nodes have problems like complex overlapping, or many unsolved joints?
    • In particularly unlucky cases, it is possible to ask for it, but keep in mind that in order to declare “solved” a node, quite many things should be ok. In particular the connection “logic” and all the checks. Possible small overlapping between the parts (rare) are not a problem and however the system searches for them in order to remove them. If you do not want “pending” members, you can discard, when sending the request, those nodes where some joints cannot be automatically designed.
  • Do the credits expire?
    • No, the credits do not expire. Once you have bought a number of tokens, this will not expire. We however suggest and ask, to order proportionally to real needs.
  • How much does it cost the design-service of every joint?
